FUEL SUPPLY UNITS

The fuel supply unit consists of a fuel pump (sometimes with a small pot), a filter, and a flange with corresponding connections.

In addition, the supply unit can be equipped with a lever-type sender, or can be used with a tubular type sender.

LEVER TYPE SENDER

Lever type senders are used to measure the fuel level in connection with an electrical display unit. Some senders are grounded. Senders without grounding have a separate ground connection.

TUBULAR TYPE SENDER

Tubular type senders are used to measure the fuel level in connection with an electrical display unit. Some senders are grounded.

Senders without grounding have a separate ground connection.

FUEL PRESSURE REGULATORS

Fuel pressure regulators maintain a defined fuel pressure. If pressure is exceeded a spring loaded membrane allows the return flow channel to open, permitting  excess fuel to flow back into the fuel tank.

IDLE-SPEED CONTROLLERS

Idle-speed controllers provide dynamic adjustment of airflow in the throttle bypass valve, ensuring optimal idling at all times. Working in conjunction with the corresponding sensors and an electronic control unit, these devices provide a rapid response to any variation in idle speed.

SENDERS

An inherently reliable part, a fuel pump often goes unrecognized as a long-lasting performer until it leaves you stranded and it becomes clear that even the most reliable parts have a life span.

Our mechanical fuel pump for carbureted models comes with one gasket, but if you can't remember the last time you had the fuel pump off, it's a good idea to replace the spacer and purchase a second gasket. Lucky for you, our mechanical fuel pump kit has everything you'll need for a complete replacement.

FUEL FLOW SENDER

• Single range fuel flow sender optimized for flow rates up to approximately 50 liters/hour. Compatible with 4-6mm ID hoses and similar imperial sized hoses.
• Compatible with a wide range of fuels including those with methanol and alcohol content.
• Mechanical failure of the sender will not block the fuel flow

FUEL LEVEL SENDER

This is a typical fuel level sender kit available from TAS. These kits come in many forms and types. You can use any resistive type sender with our instruments and you can also use capacitive probes if they have a voltage level output.

We do not supply these items due to weight considerations and freight costs. Please obtain these items from your local suppliers.
We recommend VDO level sender for our instruments.

BODY FUEL FLOW SENDER

Multi Range fuel flow sender.
Using one of four supplied restrictor jets up to five flow ranges can be catered for.
Fuel flow measurements from 3 liters/hour to as much as 500 liters/hour can be achieved.

GEAR TOOTH SPEED SENSOR

FIVE kinds SPEED SENSORS can be selected:

• hall-effect speed sensor, only for speed ferrous gear target.

SUPPLY UNITS Fuel Injection Throttle Body

A fuel injection throttle body is a component in the air intake system in fuel injected engines that controls the amount of air that flows into the engine.
Its largest piece is the throttle plate which regulates the airflow. When the accelerator pedal is pressed, the throttle plate rotates, which creates an opening for the air to flow into the intake manifold. The amount of air is then measured by the airflow sensor and sends the signal to the ECU, which then analyzes the data and adjusts the amount of fuel being sent to the fuel injectors to achieve the desired air-fuel ratio.
